About Us
Blackdown Pre-school is a committee-run setting that has been providing care for children aged between 2-5 years since 1997. We are situated within the small village of Deepcut, serving both military and civilian families within the local area.
Our aims
Blackdown Pre-school aims to:
Provide high quality care and education for children below statutory school age in a parent-involving, community-based group
Provide a safe, secure, and stimulating environment
Work within a framework that ensures equal opportunities for all children and their families.
Our approach
To achieve these aims we offer your child:
A specially-tailored curriculum leading to approved learning outcomes
Individual care and attention, made possible by a high ratio of adults to children
Fun and friendship with other adults and children
The support of an individual, assigned key person and the opportunity for you and your family to be directly involved in the education of your children.
Our staff
Our highly-skilled team are passionate about their role within the pre-school, many of whom have been a part of the staff for over a decade.
Each member of staff has gone through the relevant criminal records check (DBS) and undergo a thorough six month induction. All staff hold are also Paediatric First Aid trained, with full Level 3 childcare qualifications.
The knowledge of our staff is paramount, and we provide the opportunity for all staff to attend training provided both within the Pre-school and with the Local Authority.
